Multiple Grammy wins? Yes!
Appear in theatrical releases? Of course.
Put on a memorable Super Bowl performance? Cross that off the bucket list.

Beyonce’s return to music kicked off in a make it or break it performance in front of the Super Bowl crowd. She was riding the negative press of the Inaguaration lip synch scandal. While she tried to minimize it, the damage was done.

When asked if she would lip-sync during the halftime show, Beyonce said, “I will absolutely be singing live … I’m ready.”

In collaboration with Pepsi, fans were asked to upload photos in order to participate in the introduction of the singer. After the fans’ cameo, she appeared in the middle of the stage and kicked it off with a upempo “Love on Top” segued into “Crazy in Love” with strutting, dancing, and popping.

She sang “Till the End of Time” with live drums and tribal dancing leading into the Sean Paul assisted “Baby Boy” with help from her hologram dancers.

The highly anticipated Destiny’s Child reunited with their biggest hits including “Bootylicious” and “Independent Woman.” Kelly and Michelle popped up along with a multitude of flames then strutted along with Beyonce as they didn’t skip a beat and seemed to be in sync. The ladies ended their reunion by assisting her with “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

After strutting, dancing, and shaking what her momma gave her, Beyonce slowed it down with “Halo” in another attempt to show off her vocals.

In the end, Beyonce worked that stage like it was her declaration to gain back her throne. While audio issues were evident, she managed to get people talking and intrigued to see what her next move is.

The highest selling female artist of all time…
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist…
7x Grammy Award winner

The hype hit an all-time pitch on Saturday…
Extravagant entrance to “Vogue” with an Gladiator theme to it. She’s looking  better than half of her predecessors.  Hand choreography  on point with an army of dancers that segued into “Music.” The stage follows suit with an array of colors. Another evidence of choreograpgy from the Queen.

Suprise guest LMFAO come in an array and sing a snippet of “Sexy and I Know It.”  It seems a little out of place with their vocals being heard. They do manage to do an amazing dance sequence with Madonna showing her flexibility. She keeps up with the young kids and adds the necessary marketability to her performance.

She segues into “give me all your luvin” with Nicki Minaj, MIA, and an array of cheerleaders helping cheer on the Queen of Pop. It’s fun, flirty, and wholesome to keep America entertained with the lackluster single but it works. It kept the visual attack with the pom-poms and screen on the ground. Making their debut as Super Bowl performers, Nicki and MIA delivered their high-energy chants and added to the diversity of collaborators on field.

Last but not least, an explosive drumline comes on the field to amp up the energy and the final suprise guest, Cee-Lo, takes center stage to help with the delivery of “Like A Prayer” , an unusual choice for the Super Bowl but it works. The light show adds a spiritual, fresh connotation to the performance along with the backup choir.

It’s the most raw yet entertaining moments of the show with Cee-Lo and Madonna joining voices. It wouldnt be a Madonna performance if it didnt leave a message so “world peace” is left as she makes her exit.

Overall, it was an entertaining and grandiose spectable befitting of the Queen of Pop. It was the right combination of electrifying visuals, fresh chreography, short cameos from today’s generation, and of course Madonna delivered a memorable, entertaining show.

Bow down, pop stars of today. The Queen is still watching the throne
